LEA willing to assist applicants

29 Oct 2013

Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) branch manager, Mr Christopher Mogodu says it is essential for their organisation to help those who are willing to start businesses and even those in business to understand what is needed to apply for CEDA loans and other funding organisations.

Speaking during LEA and Chobe District Council market day on October 25, Mr Mogodu said they helped potential business beginners to understand all the steps to follow in guidelines to business plans. That, he said, also included advice on how to manage finances that were loaned in order to be able to return the agreed percentages.

Botswana Police Service traffic officer, Sergeant Vezera Ndjiva told the public about the intoximeter and urged them, especially drivers to refrain from drinking and driving because it put lives in danger. He said the permissible limit of alcohol in a litre of breath was 0.22mg, thus those testing beyond the gauge would be charged.

The district perfomance improvement coordinator, Mr Balume Bulayani said he was impressed that the Chobe community, both young and old, was actively involved in businesses that included using natural resources such as water reeds, cow skins and seeds to make a living.

He also applauded LEA Kasane for the continued support to the community. The market day intended to help small businesses in Kasane to gain awareness, exposure and to share with the community and potential business beginners how to succeed in their businesses. ENDS
