Pallaroad Primary School can look forward to a better year with improved resources.
The school now owns a photocopying machine worth P102 000, donated by Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA) as part of the organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
When handing over the gift on Friday, BOCRA’s human resource manager, Mr James Mooketsi said initially, the school was not among beneficiaries to be assisted, but the company stepped in looking at the school’s needs.
Mr Mooketsi said with the machine, the school would now be in a position to do better academically.
Pallaroad Primary School head, Ms Nametsegang Kopelang said exam period had been a struggle without the machine.
Ms Kopelang said the school had other challenge such as shortage of class rooms, which was a performance hindrance.
A student representative, Chantel Bapaletswe thanked BOCRA for the support and assured the donor that the school would make use of the gift and would continue working hard. ENDS
