Over 1 000 residential plots ready for allocation in Shakawe
08 Feb 2022
Shakawe Sub-land Board will soon start allocating the available 1 444 residential plots against a waiting list of 4 468.
Speaking in an interview recently, sub-land board chairperson Mr Ryder Shoma explained that allocation would be according to the waiting list’s sequential order.
Mr Shoma stated that land shortage was bound to be experienced with time as the population continued increasing.
The chairperson said the land board was trying its level best to address the situation.
He expressed concern over the rate at which people sold land after allocation saying some even had the audacity to sell and then apply again.
Mr Shoma urged residents to desist from selling land and advised them to develop plots as per the agreement with the land board to avoid repossession. BOPA
