Women have potential to elevate

06 Dec 2021

There is need for women to believe in their power and get rid of stumbling blocks such as factionalism and anger in order to unleash their potential.

Pastor Titose James of Jwaneng Assemblies of God said this officiating at the women’s seminar hosted by Revelation Times Ministries International (RTMI) on Saturday.

The event was part of a three-day annual thanksgiving conference held under the theme ‘Higher Dimension’, which was graced by South African gospel artistes Lebo Sekgobela, Sipho Ngwenya and Kgaogelo Kekana.

Pastor James noted that even though God could change everybody’s story, there was need to address issues that were holding them back from their destinies.

“In order to attain higher dimensions, our belief system must be addressed. The Kingdom of God is bigger than your cultural beliefs and backgrounds because Jesus long broke the barriers,” he said.

He emphasised the power of prayer in breaking the protocols set by human beings and which contributed to their doubts and lack of confidence.

He also implored them to pave way for God’s understanding by getting rid of philosophies that resulted in divisive traits such as anger, factionalism and failure to forgive others.

He further called on women to unleash their power by using modern technologies at their disposal to make an impact on those they interact with.

“Women have the potential to be preachers, but the women ministry is lagging behind because they are failing to share their stories even though they have technologies such as social media to make an impact,” he noted.

However, Pastor James acknowledged that there were challenges that kept people away from shifting to higher dimensions.

He noted that as believers they should use prayer and fasting as a weapon to weaken the flesh that got people into sin.

Prioritising the fear of sin, he noted, would result in powerful women who would leave footprints on earth.

For her part, RTMI Daughters of Sarah leader, Ms Dimpho Ramono noted that their ministry as a female movement was to raise girls and women of all dimensions and groom them according to the ways of the Lord.

She said the church recognised the role played by women in both in the church and in the community.

“Women are an important aspect of the ministry and they make an impact. The intention is to use this opportunity to come together, interact and give each other support as we continue to execute our mandate,” she explained.

She noted that such platforms were intended to motivate women and support them as they addressed the hurdles that held them back.

She also said despite the movement restrictions posed by COVID-19, they continued to reach out to more women to revive each other’s potential in order to reach high dimensions in various spheres of life.

When motivating attendants with her story, a student pastor, Ms Connie Matobolo implored women to hold on to God all the time.

She noted that believing in the power of the relationship with God would go a long way in sustaining them and restoring what they had lost.

“I want to use my story to motivate fellow women who are at the brink of giving up. You should never give up even in the midst of hard situations such as divorce. I have suffered mock and humiliation even inside the church, but all this time I managed to fasten my life to God and that is why I am standing today,” she said.

She challenged women to introspect and build divine connections with people who had the power to provoke the potential power in their spirits.

She said the current challenges required women to be among friends that were not only connected through family or culture, but rather who would unleash the faith that would prevail against difficult situations. BOPA
