A key quote from Tshepang Segokgo’s book Living a Relevant Life likely to stick in the minds of many readers is ‘success is the fulfillment of the original intent for one’s life, it is not a big car, money or house, but it is having fulfilled the life that one is created by God to live.’
Launching the book in Tlokweng recently, Boikhutso Pilane, the book’s public relations manager said while most people believed that having it all in life meant success, that’s not the case as a person could have a lot of money and still be a failure because they had not done what God called them to do.
Speaking on behalf of the author, Tshepang Segokgo who is currently residing in Melbourne Australia, the manager said the book was all about living one’s purpose in life.
The book aims to equip readers to enable them to identify their gifts, assignment in life and a place to serve.
Purpose gives one the last thing which will help one lead a relevant life as per this book, he said.
In order to lead a relevant life one needs to be led and guided by the dreams that God put in their heart, to form the impressive, biggest, and best version of what they want to become in the society, he further said.
“Your dreams give you a place and recognition in the world, being viewed as relevant.
God also placed enormous potential in you, the power to be anything and do anything that your mind and heart desires, all you need is to start exercising that potential. Potential is grown and cultivated through a life of service,” he stressed.
He quoted Segokgo as having said in the book that, ‘the greatest tragedy is not death itself, but what dies inside of us while we are still alive’
The author’s friend Baone Ramokone said they worked hard on the launch knowing that the reading the book lives will be changed, as the contents were empowering, promoting positivity and giving people hope in life.
She described the author as a determined person, a motivator and inspirational individual that people could look up to.
Ramokone said the book was a must read for youth as they experienced challenges in life. He said Living a Relevant Life was insightful and offered solutions to life dilemmas.
The author, who hails from Tlokweng, states that she grew as a dynamic woman with the passion of empowering women. ENDS
