Attendant commended for spirit of lifelong learning

24 Nov 2021

Pastors have been commended for their continuous learning to acquire new knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for their individual development.

The director of Global Transformation and Networks, Mr Taolo Moshaga said this at the opening of a five-day International Leadership Institute (ILI) leadership workshop organised for pastors in Kanye on Tuesday. Mr Moshaga applauded attendants for not shying away from upgrading themselves, noting that lifelong learning would enable them to become high valued individuals.

“Be rest assured that with this ILI leadership course, you shall be equipped with skills, which will enable you to lead more effectively and efficiently,” he said.

He described education as an unending experience, which allowed the mind to grow continually, hence the need for leaders to understand their profession more, so that they could make informed decisions.

Mr Moshaga pointed out that would enable them to transfer the acquired knowledge, value and skills to those they served and the younger generation.

He also assured female pastors that they were equal to their male counterparts, adding the most important principle should be their conduct in performing their duties.

For his part, the Botswana Branch ILI coordinator, Mr Alfred Moremong said the vision was to accelerate the spread of the gospel through empowered leaders.

“Our mission is to train and mobilise men and women with the best leadership and discipleship tools and provide an opportunity for transformational encounter with God,” he said.

Mr Moremong shared that ILI Botswana was a network of passionate Christians, noting that at the end of the course, pastors would further enrol in a 90 days challenge, where they would be accorded a chance to reflect on what they acquired from the workshop. ends
