A new non-governmental organisation called HE, SHE was launched in Gaborone on January 23.

Speaking at the launch, founder, Ms Maggie Mabechu said the organisation would serve to bring change in society and that everything would be led by the spirit of the Lord.

She said the establishment of the organisation was inspired by people who yearned for the presence of God, but could not get it within the church because of different reasons yet they desired to have a relationship with God.

The vision of HE, SHE, she said, looked forward to greater engagement and interaction with strategic partners in moving forward, and to draw greater attention and more importantly, concrete and effective action to host meetings, outreach, conferences and seminars for the purpose of sharing information, knowledge and skills to empower mankind.

“Our main objective is to uplift each other as dream catchers, and we are open to both gender and any age,’’ Ms Mabechu said.

 She said the organisation would be based in Gaborone, but would operate nationally. She added that they plan to have more branches across the country in the future. She noted that currently they we

re working with Baratani Junior Secondary School in Otse, and were open for new members and projects to work on.

In addition, Ms Mabechu, who is also a writer, launched her second book titled: Beware of Absalom-the spirit that seeks to dethrone you.

The book is self-published and takes the story of Absalom in the Bible and relates it to our life today.
