Regoeng donates to Children

MP for Molepolole North, Mr Oabile Regoeng on Friday donated goods to children born on Christmas Day at Scottish Livingstone Hospital in Molepolole.
Presenting the gifts, the MP said in addition to celebrating the birth of Jesus, he wanted to assist families who had been impacted by the coronavirus and could therefore not fully provide for their infants.
MP Regoeng said the COVID-19 pandemic haD brought social and economic challenges to a number of families in Botswana, hence his decision to assist 20 new mothers with hampers to ease their hardships.
He said ever since independence, the country had never been on lockdown and curfews had never been introduced, but they had limited movement, hence people were unable to provide for their families.
Principal registered nurse at the hospital, Ms Odirile Mazebedi said the packages would be put to good use as some mothers came to the hospital with nothing for their infants.
The MP donated 20 blankets and 20 bags each containing various items such as the receiving blanket, a baby blanket, baby leggings, vest and two nappies.
At the time the hosptal reported that two babies had been born on Christmas Day. ENDS
