Two children at large

 Residents of Mmatshumo village are on a search for two boys who disappeared last week Thursday.

The two, aged 12 and five, left Sesejwa cattle post, some 12km west of Mmatshumo and 10km east of Tswantsha Pan on Thursday to a borehole located less than a kilometre from home, but never made it back.

The two boys were reportedly not sent on an errand.

Letlhakane Police Station  commander, Superintendent Michael Maphephu stated in an interview that the case was reported to Orapa Police Station on Friday and there after the search ensued.

The search continued on Saturday with the assistance of Sesejwa residents.

Supt Maphephu said a police chopper was later engaged, but the boys were nowhere to be found.

He said the search continued Monday and Tuesday with further assistance sought from Boteti leadership and the puplic servants, but there was no trace of the children’s whereabouts.

Superintendent Maphephu indicated that tracks were identified on Tuesday although not clear due to the bad weather.

According to the guardian of the missing children, Ms Dipogiso Office, the 12-year-old was had visited his mother at the cattle post as he resided in Palapye with his mother's employer. 

It was further revealed that the dog that had accompanied the boys returned home. Ends
