Take your duties seriously- Council Chairperson

Ghanzi district council chairperson, Mr Thato Tshweneyagae has implored graduates of a six weeks firemanship course to take their job seriously as it protects lives.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony recently in Ghanzi, Mr Tshweneyagae told the 13 graduates, who were from different councils, that Batswana and the country’s economy depended on their services.
He said their training would help prevent loss of life and protect property, adding that the basis of any economy started with property. He said their services which included among others, rescuing people during road accidents, natural disasters as well as humanitarian work, would be improved if they executed their duties diligently.
He also expressed gratitude towards the course tutors and invigilators for their sleepless nights preparing for classes, saying it was not an easy task.
For his part, Ghanzi East Sub-council Senior Assistant Council Secretary, Mr Thatayotlhe Balapi hailed the tenacity of graduates, as well as of tutors. ends
