 Kazungula police are investigating a fatal accident in which a 45-year-old man was confirmed dead on arrival at Kasane Primary Hospital on December 11.

According to Assistant Superintendent Tenda Mojumi, the accident occurred around 5pm near Fish Farm when the driver, who is now deceased, lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road. 

He said another 45-year-old man, who was a passenger of the same vehicle, sustained injuries on the arm and was admitted at the hospital.

The two were travelling in a Toyota Prado and were coming from the Kasane direction going towards Kazungula when the accident occurred. 

The ASP Mojumi said the deceased was an employee of Kasane Prison. 

Deceased’s relatives have been informed and the body is awaiting postmortem.

In Kasane, Superintendent James Maabong has appealed to the public to help identify a man aged between 25-28. 

He said the man was found in the Chobe National Park in the area near Ngoma Border Gate heading towards Kasane on November 30 and he does not respond to any of the local languages or those of the neighbouring countries. ends
