A 37-year-old-man died in Matswake cattle post in Central District after he was involved in a fight with three other men.

Superintendent Michael Maphephu of Letlhakane police said in an interview on Monday that the incident was reported to the police on Sunday morning though it occurred on Saturday night.  

“When we got there, we found a man lying in a pool of blood and he was taken to the hospital where he was certified dead,” he said.

Superintendent Maphephu said preliminary investigations showed that a fight had ensued between the cousin to the deceased and the other three men.

According to the police chief, the cousin ran away to escape the attack from the three men aged 18 and 24.

The deceased, Superintendent Maphephu stated, was consequently attacked by the trio and he was stabbed him with a sharp object. 

The three perpetrators are in police custody and have been slapped with a murder charge.ends
