Kgatleng Land Board Chairperson, Ms Esther Serati says a good and sustainable land management system is a driver for both economic growth and social development.

Speaking at the first meeting of the newly appointed board on Tuesday, Ms Serati said within a sustainable land management system lied the success of national food strategy, housing needs and indeed all activities that moved the nation forward.

She acknowledged the new members noting that the assignment given to them was both a blessing and a challenge as land management was not an easy task.

“It has often been said, the future wars between humans will be over land and water, one must therefore appreciate the burden and responsibility carried by our parent ministry as

it is managing both” she said.

Ms Serati said the strength of the board members lied upon the fact that they came from different walks of life with different experiences that would benefit the board.

She thus urged members to practice good customer service, speed up service delivery and work as a unit to enhance productivity and shun corrupt practices. Ends
