BotswanaPost Hollard Life extend kgotla offices

15 Nov 2020

Sefhare has a tribal administration office space, which will enable officers to serve customers efficiently, thanks to BotswanaPost and Hollard Life Botswana.

The two organisations pulled their resources together to extend kgotla offices in Sefhare.

When handing over the offices on Friday, BotswanaPost general manager for central, Mr Godfrey Sebele, said they partnered with Hollard Life through the Motshidisi Funeral Plan to achieve their objective.

Tribal Administration acting director, Mr Ofentse Ikaneng, said they were grateful for what BotswanaPost and Hollard Life had done.

Mr Ikaneng further explained that the expansion would make internet connection a possibility and thereby enhancing service provision.

Kgotla meetings could be live, so that members of the public could connect wher ever they are.

Kgosi Galeakanye Modise said they used to have a small office that wasc shared by all dikgosi from the nearby villages.

He said this propelled them to find sponsors to help with expanding the office.

“We used to help one client at a go, but now we can help three clients, still observing social distancing”, he said.

He said members of the village development committee also planted ornamentals in front of the offices to show how grateful they were.

Kgosi Modise urged members of the public to find the root cause of gender-based violence (GBV).

He said GBV was a great concern to the nation because almost every day new cases were recorded. Ends
