Police in Tutume are investigating a road accident that claimed the life of a 29-year-old man who hails from Tawana ward in Letlhakane.

Station commander, Superintendent Jerry Halahala, explained that the accident happened at Thini ward along Mosetse -Tutume road where a Toyota Hilux collided with Toyota Blade on November 6 afternoon.

He said the deceased, who had sustained serious injuries was certified dead at Tutume Primary Hospital. 

Superintendent Halahala added that his companion, a 23-year-old woman of Magapatona ward had also suffered serious injuries and was transferred to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital in Francistown.

He called upon drivers to obey road signs noting that speed limits were placed along roads for a purpose.

 Meanwhile, Superintendent Halahala said the driver and passengers of the Hilux escaped without any injuries. ends
