Government is unable to provide members of Ntlo ya Dikgosi with official vehicles, for use on official trips at their respective regions, due to financial constraints.

This was said by the Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Kabo Morwaeng on October 27 when responding to a question from Kgosi Johane Rakumako of Tswapong Region. Kgosi Rakumako had wanted the minister to state if he would consider providing members of Ntlo ya Dikgosi with official vehicles for use on official trips at their respective regions.

He also wanted to know if the minister would further consider clustering regions in a district and allocate shared official vehicles.

Mr Morwaeng said a request may be made to the tribal administration offices at local level, to facilitate such requests as and when required.

He said he would also not consider clustering regions within a district to allocate shared official vehicles, but would rather leave the function to Bogosi to develop modalities of assisting members of Ntlo ya Dikgosi. Ends
