Dovedale residents uplift self-reliance spirit

Bamangwato Concessions Limited (BCL) divisional manager, Mr David Keitshokile has commended Dovedale residents for demonstrating a gesture of good citizenship and the spirit of volunteerism.The residents raised funds amounting to P13 000 to be used during the official opening of the kgotla offices.
They also donated cattle, sheep and goats towards the event.Thus, Mr Ketshabile said when officiating at the Dovedale Customary Court over the weekend that the residents were true visionary citizens as they fully participated in the development of their village.
He applauded them for the spirit of Ipelegeng which he said it was what government encouraged. He further pleaded with the community to play their part in participating in crime prevention initiatives such as neighbourhood watch and to report to police for prompt actions.
He said he had learnt that the village had experienced an increasing crime due to close proximity with South Africa where the suspects were alleged to use ungazetted points.
As part of BCL corporate social responsibility, Mr Keitshokile donated two computers and a four in one printer that has a telephone and fax, scanner and printer saying the company would install air-conditioner in the kgosi’s office.
The event was graced by the Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso and dikgosi from neighbouring villages. Ends
