BATLA members to attend SA expo

The Botswana Association of Tribal Land Authorities (BATLA) has organised a travel package for its members to attend South Africa’s annual business opportunities and franchise expo (BOFE).
The four-day event, which starts on September 12, will take place in Johannesburg. The vice president of BATLA, Mr David Modisag
Mr Modisagape said BOFE would present leading business opportunities, franchise options and business support service to an audience of aspiring and successful entrepreneurs who have the motivation and capital to invest in new business ventures.
He said BATLA members would benefit immensely from the exposition as it invites entrepreneurs, aspirants entrepreneurs and investors interested in diversifying their business portfolios. For his part, Botswana Confederation of Commerce Industry & Manpower (BOCCIM) business advisor Ms Thato Bolokwe, said as a voice of business community in Botswana, his organization was willing to work with BATLA members.
Ms Bolokwe said one of BOCCIM’s roles was to ensure that Botswana laws did not hinder people from starting their own business. She said BOCCIM also advocated for the creation of a business-friendly environment. The BATLA business seminar brought together various institutions to share information about their products and services.
Organisations that made presentations at the seminar included Local Enterprise Authority, Citizen Economic Development Agency, Botswana Development Corporation, African Alliance, Barclays Bank, Capital Bank and Botswana Building Society. ENDS
