Dikoloti promises to address constituency issues

The Member of Parliament for Mmathethe/Molapowabojang constituency Dr Edwin Dikoloti has promised to ensure that pertinent issues raised by residents of Lorolwane during the election campaign are addressed.
Dr Dikoloti, also the Minister of Agricultural Development and Food Security told resident during a kgotla meeting at Lorolwane recently, that he wanted to see the residents benefiting from constituency based projects.
The MP also encouraged residents to find ways to improve their living conditions, noting that the area was endowed with indigenous foods such as thepe which they could harvest, process and sell to generate income.
Dr Dikoloti, a veterinary surgeon by profession shared that he would work closely with farmers and teach them sustainable ways of farming.
He said farming was a viable enterprise provided it was done in a commercial way.
On other issues, Dr Dikoloti urged Lorolwane residents to take interest in their children’s education.
In light of Lorolwane Primary School’s recent dismal performance in the last examinations, the MP advised parents to find tutors to assist struggling students adding they could also use the constituency allowance for the same.
Dr Dikoloti further encouraged residents to do gardening and donated 25 trees to motivate them.
Kgosi Matlhoakgosi Matlho in his welcome remarks earlier complained that Lorolwane/Gasita gravel road was graded March 2018 but already in bad state.
He also shared that the kgotla, police and veterinary offices were yet to get connected to the national power grid although his office was wired three years ago.
The Village development Committee (VDC) chairperson Mr Kaelo Paraffin complained of crime in the village adding that the situation was compounded by lack of transport which hindered the police to follow up cases. ENDS
