Voting continues at Mpatane Primary School polling station
Voting continues at Mpatane Primary School polling station in the Shashe West constituency. As at 1930pm, many young people were still in the queue to cast their votes. Shashe West returning officer, Mr Onthatile Molelu explained that Batswana came in large numbers to the voting stations.
However, he observed that the queues were fast and manageable during the day as the elderly voted. He explained that a few minutes before polling stations closed, a large number of youth thronged Mpatane Primary school polling station. Mr Molelu noted that the challenge with the youth was that a lot of time is wasted in controlling queues.
He also indicated that 681 people had registered to vote at the polling station. At 1945hrs, 425 had voted. ENDS
