IEC stops council candidate voting at FlowertownBoseja

Voting for council candidate in the Flowertown/Boseja polling district, under the Mahalapye East Constituency has been stopped.
This follows observations that the of Alliance for Progressive symbol was omitted on the ballot paper.
Principal Elections Officer, Mr Molatlhegi Baloi confirmed the omission of Alliance for Progressive symbol on the ballot paper in an interview with BOPA.
Mr Baloi said the commission had taken a decision to stop voting of council candidate in the ward, while voting for Parliamentary candidate in the constituency continued.
Out of the six wards in the constituency the Boseja/Flowertown ward was the only one with an AP council candidate.
Parliamentary candidates are Dr Ditshupo Maje of BDP, Mr Lazarus Lekgowanyana of BPF and Yandani Boko of UDC. ENDS
