Botswana Life spreads wings

24 Sep 2019

Botswana Life has opened an office at Rail Park mall in Gaborone.

Speaking at opening of the new branch on Monday, the company’s chief operations officer, Ms Priscillah Ndadi said the office showed their commitment to being a first choice in life insurance.

“Botswana Life takes commitment to Batswana seriously through offering support to individuals, corporate, business owners and affluent clientele and we remain excited for serving the customers in Rail Park branch,” Ms Ndadi said.

The chief executive officer, Mr Ronald Samuels, highlighted that as Botswana’s oldest and only home-grown life insurer, they were invested in making a difference in Batswana’s lives.

Mr Samuels said the new branch demonstrated Botswana’s legacy and advocating a saving culture, highlighting different uses of insurance policies.

“Our customers continue to serve as incredibly important building blocks to our business and without them, our engagement with them remains both impeccable and deliberate.  The new branch is now closer to its customers, in a more accessible and higher traffic catchment area to easily cater to the needs of Batswana.

It has hired 17 people and the branch will offer all the Botswana Life services,” he said.

Meanwhile, the company chairperson, Mr John Hinchcliffe noted that with a 44-year history, Botswana Life had managed to strengthen its relationship with Batswana, growing with them through their life journeys.

Mr Hinchcliffe indicated that the company’s unique position as a subsidiary of Botswana Insurance Holdings Limited (BIHL) enabled Batswana to buy BIHL shares and take direct ownership of the business; further enabling the company to fulfil its mission of creating wealth for its customers.

“This is just one of many ways in which we are committed to growing further together, with Batswana.  We remain dedicated to driving and delivering new values and ways through collaboration and co-creation to offer life insurance, investment, and advisory services that contribute towards wealth creation,” he said.

Again, he said the new branch represented their concrete dedication and true statement to their unwavering commitment to Batswana. Ends
