Leduledi rakes money in quad bike business

Mr Kelebonye Leduledi must have made a killing with his quad bike business at the just ended Ghanzi show.
Customers queued for a turn at the sport.
Mr Leduledi said he started the business in 2013 and capitalised on big events such as the Ghanzi show for business.
Mr Leduledi, who hails from Ghanzi but is based in Orapa, said family fun days were another opportunity to make money.
He said quad bike riding was a way of diversifying sport tourism, adding that customers had to part with P20 for a single ride.
Like other businesses, Mr Leduledi said transport was a challenge because he used truck and a trailer to transport his quads.
The Khawa Dune Challenge, he said, was next on the agenda.
Not the one to confine himself to local events, Mr Leduledi said he would like to transcend boundaries and seize opportunities in international events.
He said he intended to buy new and sophisticated machines to afford riders the best.
“Depending on what you aim to achieve with quad bike sports, whether it is just riding around or something more extreme, you want the best vehicle on the market, especially when it comes to challenging and having fun with friends,” he said.
Mr Khaphesia Kefalotse, a quad bike fanatic, said riding was a hobby that came with a peace of mind.
He said quad bike riding was not as dangerous as people perceived it to be, and encouraged Batswana to embrace the sport to help it grow.
“I came all the way from Kopong just to ride,” he said. Ends
