Poverty Eradication beneficiaries in the Okavango region have been urged to work hard to ensure the success of their projects.

Okavango District Poverty Eradication coordinator, Mr Victor Mokobi made the plea during the poverty eradication beneficiaries’ workshop in Gumare recently.

He said government’s primary objective was to improve the lives of Batswana so that they could provide for themselves and their families.

Mr Mokobi therefore, challenged beneficiaries to have a roadmap for their businesses.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to work hand in hand with programme officers to eradicate poverty.

Mr Mokobi further encouraged beneficiaries to go an extra mile in marketing and producing quality products to remain relevant.

He encouraged them to save part of their proceeds.

Teamwork and clusters, he said were another way of growing a business since it involved costs sharing.Gumare/Tubu South councilor, Mr Keobinetse Matenanga praised the beneficiaries for their continuous efforts in fighting poverty.

He advised them to continue working hard to change their lives and develop the district.

“I want you to grow and diversify your businesses, do not focus on one business only, you should aim high,” he said. ENDS
