The President of Namibia, Dr Hage Geingob will officiate at the 2019 Ghanzi Agricultural Show on July 27. The chairperson of Ghanzi show trust, Mr Thuso Mackenzie said the official opening, which was initially scheduled for Friday, had been rescheduled to Saturday due to President Geingob’s work commitments in his country.

He said the Omaheke region in Namibia equally prides its self as a beef region just like Ghanzi region, he said, adding “Even some of our exhibitors are from Namibia and South Africa”. Meanwhile, during a special full council session, Ghanzi District Council Chairperson, Mr Galetlhaole Sixpence hailed the show organising committee for inviting President Geingob, saying it is history in the making to witness a head of state officiating at an agricultural show in another country.
