Botash annual plant maintenance starts June 1
05 May 2019
Botash will undertake its annual plant maintenance shutdown on June 1-23.
A press release from Botash says the critical jobs include statutory inspections, refurbishment of boiler units, overhaul of solids handling equipment and renewal of part of the tank farm.
It says pre-shutdown works are already underway, while stakeholder engagement has been undertaken.
The release says the bulk coarse salt and chemical salt loading will continue throughout the shutdown period, while bagged coarse salt and soda ash loading will resume on June 11 and June 27 for fine salt loading.
Furthermore, the release says booking for out bound road trucks will be accepted up to May 27, therefore customers are informed that unbooked drive-in trucks arriving on or after the said date will not be loaded.
“Customers can liaise with the marketing department to schedule for road trucks to be loaded before and after shutdown,” says the release. Ends
