Cresta Marakanelo group has donated bed linen consisting of flat sheets, blankets and pillow cases to Ramotswa’s Bamalete Lutheran Hospital (BLH).

Group sales and marketing manager, Mr Segolame Mothibi said the company was determined to uphold its commitment of being an active participant in the lives of Batswana through its social responsibility component.

 “We are committed to taking voluntary steps to improve the quality of lives in our society with specific reference to local communities within which we operate,” he stated.

He said Cresta Marakanelo considered communities important stakeholders in the success of their brand. Mr Mothibi said the company had come on board to assist communities because government could no longer shoulder the responsibility alone.

 “It is our hope that this donation will bring relief to BLH and by extension to the Ramotswa community,” he said.

 He promised that the group would continue engaging BLH and extending assistance as they were aware that the facility’s needs went beyond the donation made. BLH superintendent Dr Thato Sarona commended

Cresta Marakanelo saying they were partners in caring for society.

Dr Sarona  said the donation would be of great relief to the mission-funded hospital which catered for patients from even beyond the boundaries of Ramotswa.

The hospital’s advisory committee chairperson, Ms Gertrude Matsietsa said the donation was of great help to patients, community and the hospital itself.

She stated that the relationship between BLH and Cresta Marakanelo was growing, adding that it was not the first time they donated to the hospital.
 

Ms Matsietsa commended the company for using its resources to help those in need.
