Leadership career coaching important

09 Sep 2018

Youth have been advised to come up with unique business projects that can penetrate the international market.

Career Coaching Company representative, Ms Lillian Moremi told the youth in Palapye recently that going into business was tough and as such, youth should be mindful of where to invest and what to invest in, as at times, savings could be lost through high risk investments.

“When investing money, one has to be sure it will earn good interest and grow,” she said.

Ms Moremi also urged youth to utilise government programmes to kick start their own businesses.

Palapye Stanbic Bank branch manager, Ms Tsholofelo Porokane said entrepreneurs should learn to save and invest for future use, indicating that savings brings peace of mind as people who save were able to meet unforeseen expenses quite easily.

Ms Porokane noted that saving was one of the most important ways to secure a good financial future for oneself, family and also to avoid high cost of debt.

Overseas Development Enterprises (ODE) chairperson, Mr Manhar Mooney said all who aspired to venture into business had to have leadership qualities, ambition and an appetite for taking risks.

He added that entrepreneurs should develop good public relations to make products more attractive to consumers to buy and also encouraged entrepreneurs to lead by example to inspire others.

“Develop a well-rounded personality, which is built around on a good value system because it will most certainly be acknowledged and appreciated. Obtain a good deal but also let others enjoy doing business with you and offer hospitality as it is important,” Mr Mooney said. ENDS
