23 Aug 2018

The Vice President, Mr Slumber Tsogwane has implored members of the public to join hands in addressing lack of shelter amongst fellow Batswana.

Mr Tsogwane made the plea on August 22  during a tour to check progress of a destitute house project at Herero ward in Rakops.

He indicated that the house, which is currently at window level, is being constructed through the assistance of Choppies stores.

He stated that members of the public should partner with government in driving the initiative to address lack of shelter amongst Batswana and restore their dignity.

Mr Tsogwane said he had pledged to build two houses, revealing that one, which is also at window level, is under construction in Makalamabedi.

He added that four more houses would be built in Boteti West and Xere village had already been identified as one of the beneficiaries.

He commended the project contractor, who is  a young person, for delivering quality work on schedule.

The area councillor, Mr Solomon Cornelius urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the house.

The two and a half house is for Ms Razaema Tjamena and her eight siblings. Ends
