Air Botswana has been nominated for an international sponsorship award at the annual business day award in Johannesburg, South Africa.

According to a press release from Air Botswana, the awards would be presented by Business and Awards South Africa in partnership with Business Day and Anglo American to promote excellence and innovation in the field of business support for the arts.

The release stated that the awards were open to all companies sponsoring arts events, projects or organizations in South Africa and abroad. The nomination came after Air Botswana supported the Cape Town City Ballet by transporting them for two performances in Gaborone thus contributing to the success of their visit to Botswana, stated the release.

Air Botswana placed greater emphasis on actively ensuring that it participated in activities that presented a learning and networking opportunity for Batswana. The award ceremony would be held on August 26 at Johannesburg City Hall. ENDS
