Kgosi applauds Orange Botswana

Kgosi Thomas Modiro of Zoroga has applauded Orange Botswana for the provision of communication technology services which enhances communication in the village.
Speaking at the site launch recently, he said provision of communication devices and their services was a development to the village, as it brought opportunities of employment to residents to improve their livelihood.
He said the launch of the site showed benevolence to deliver services to the village.
He pleaded with Orange Botswana to support youth on arts related activities. He said some of the youth were engaged in modelling, singing, sports and other activities that they had proven to have passion and commitment on through competitions, but lacked facilities to meet their goals.
He said the major challenge was lack of a community hall to host occasions, and financial challenges to meet some competitions requirements.
Village Development Committee chairperson, Mr Ditshwanelo Shororo applauded Orange Botswana for improving the economy of the village through the sale of e-recharge services.
He noted that most residents had utilised the services to improve their lives. He said having all network connections gave residents a choice to use their prefered services like other Batswana in urban areas.
Mr Shororo pleaded with Orange to introduce a mobile shop for them to access orange services easily, saying it would also create employment for residents.
Furthermore, he requested that their greeting language, Sesarwa be branded on Orange Botswana motor vehicles as other local languages to show that they were also recognised like other Batswana.
Orange Botswana marketing manager, Mr Sipho Ntebang said after fine-tuning their communication technological devices to provide sufficient connections, they found it apt to deliver all their services to residents.
He emphasised that people should take advantage of their low cost services and utilise business opportunities and employment creation through the sale of sim packs, airtime services and sim card registrations.
Mr Ntebang explained that Orange Botswana has an Orange Money bank that people could use to open accounts and save their earnings for future use. He said through the account payments of farm workers, DStv subscriptions, airtime and electricity recharging would be easy.
He encouraged people who rely on phone call communication to utilise cost-efficient Bua-le-nna voice data bundles as they were in a remote area where cash was hard to find.
The voice bundles, he said, eradicated high usage of monthly airtime money. ENDS
