President Mokgweetsi Masisi has appointed Mr Gobe Pitso as Botswana’s High Commissioner to Mozambique.

A press release from the Ministry of International Affairs and Cooperation says Mr Pitso is a career diplomat who has served in the ministry for over 20 years in various capacities within ministry headquarters and in diplomatic missions abroad.

It states that he has served at Botswana missions in Switzerland and China and also as acting director in the Department of Public Relations, Research and Information, and most recently as Press Secretary to the President before taking up his new post as Botswana’s High Commissioner to Mozambique.

The release says Mr Pitso has since taken up his appointment in Maputo and presented letters of credence to President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique on May 14. ENDS
