Bible Life Ministries celebrates 30th anniversary
15 May 2018
Bible Life Ministries celebrated their 30th anniversary in Ghanzi recently.
The church was started in Botswana in 1988 by Apostle Dr Enock Setima and Pastor Tshegofatso Setima.
The anniversary was celebrated under the theme, The Significant Power of Three Decades.
Rev Dr Olekae Thakadu told the members that 30 years always signified maturity, consequently he said their church was now ripe and set to serve the nation. “ We are a mature church and we know that life is not about jokes, it is fighting battles,” Rev Dr Thakadu declared.
To drive his message home, he said Jesus started his ministry at the age of 30 (Luke 3:23) and David reigned as a king at the age of 30, not before.
(Samuel 5:4) and Numbers ‘30’, he said signified the end of mourning period, citing the book of Numbers that states that the Israelites mourned the death Aaron for 30 days, similarly weeping and mourning for Moses ended after 30 years (Deuteronomy 34:8).
He told the congregation that the mourning era had elapsed and they should welcome the new dawn of celebration and rejoicing.
Rev Dr Thakadu said their ministry had grown in leaps and bounds and a new era of miracles and breakthroughs had come.
He told the congregation that God would be coming to their lives and miracles will pop out like popcorns. “Are you ready for popcorn miracles,” he asked rhetorically.
Number 30, Rev Dr Thakadu also stated has the significance on the blood of Jesus as it was sold for 30 pieces of silver.
Rev Dr Thakadu said the growth of their ministry did not come easy.
He said they faced challenges during its inception and some people discriminated them but thanked God that they stood the test of time.
He said they managed to overcome all obstacles because of perseverance and the help of God, just like the nation of Israel (in the Bible) who fought battles after battles but kept on pushing until they managed to overcome their enemies. ENDS
