Afrosoul singer releases Lekau

Afrosoul singer, Zuziwe Mavuma has released her single titled, Lekau.
The single, which was released on May 1, is expected to keep Afrosoul revellers on their feet. In an interview, 26-year-old said she worked tirelessly to give her fans good music and earn a living.
Mavuma said Lekau was a love song inspired by something special in her life, which she decided to tell through the song.
She said the single, which was produced by the well-known producer, Leroy Nyoni, would enjoy considerable airplay as it had already been given attention by Yarona FM.
“Working with Leroy has been a great achievement for me because he inspires me to make more music and I learn a lot from him”, she said.
Mavuma started her musical career in 2011, aged 19, with the Metrophones band, a relationship which spanned five years.
The relationship however, ended in 2016 when the young songstress decided to go solo.
Mavuma has been featured by artists such as Linxstar, Zeus, Stagga and shared the stage with the likes of Lira, Micasa, Freshly Ground and Bhudaza.
She has also performed at corporate functions and at the Hamptons Jazz Festival Gaborone International Music Festival.
The sassy singer said she was focusing on performing live and at events such as Jam for Brunch.
Mavuma applauded her family especially her parents for allowing her to follow what she loves dearly.
“My parents are supportive and encouraging and can travel with me just to see me perform and I am grateful for that,” she said.
Mavuma also thanked her producer Nyoni, saying he was the driving force behind her success. ENDS
