07 May 2018

Bobirwa Sub -district Council chairperson, Mr Sylvester Masweu said his Council is regarded as the best in terms of project implementation.

Mr Masweu said in an interview that the Sub -district council was well known for completing projects on time and within budget.

He however, admitted that there were still some ongoing constituency funded projects such as construction and upgrading of LA2 houses and shelters .

He said he was impressed by the beauty of houses built by the council as well as good supervision by project supervisors.

Mr Masweu said construction of a day care centre in Mabumahibidu in Bobonong, upgrading of a kgotla shelter in Tsetsebye as well as construction of a class block in Tobane were among those still ongoing.

He said the constituency fund programme had played a pivotal role of empowering the local communities as most projects were given to local companies from those particular areas.

For his part, project supervisor, Mr Mosalagae Gareanna said he was happy with the workmanship of local companies from Bobirwa.

He said that some LA2 houses in Bobirwa were completed in three months while others were still waiting for electrification.

However, Mr Gareanna said reception class project at Molalatau was among projects that could have been completed but was delayed by shortage of funds. ENDS
