01 May 2018
South African powerhouse, Zakhele Madida, popularly known as Zakes Bantwini and Kgotla Ntsima aka Juju Boy lived up to expectation recently as they both made their debuts at the Mascom Live Session hosted by BotswanaCraft.
With his trademark goatee, ponytail and clad in black, Juju Boy night started the night off with a bang as he dished out song after song and got people all warmed up.
Juju Boy showed why people considered him an all-round entertainer and did not disappoint one bit.
His antics on stage as he brought Radio Botswana personality, Boitumelo Seitebatso to help him drive his song Hurt Me home got everyone all excited.
With everyone also expecting Juju Boy to perform the highly popular Amantle Brown song he is featured in, he did better as he brought the Black Mampatile hit maker on stage.
Botswana’s very own rock and rolla rapper, Juju Boy is credited with fusing the two genres to create his own signature sound.
With a little over 10 years in the industry, he has managed to evolve with the times and keep relevant in the industry.
In came the ever stylish and smartly dressed Zakes Bantwini who never disappoints with his fashion sense.
For a long time now, Zakes Bantwini has always been one to bring style to stage and one could mistakenly say he looks like someone going to a business meeting, and maybe that is what sets him apart, his all-round professionalism.
Sporting his tan suit and coral pink shirt, his music on the night was a combination of sophistication and dance.
The Clap your Hands and Bum Bum song maker showed his mettle on the night and reminded everyone that he is still much alive.
With their contrasting styles, Zakes Bantwini and Juju Boy thrilled the multitudes that thronged Botswanacraft.
It was money well spent on the side of music lovers and one cannot wait for the next Mascom Live Sessions and wonder who they are going to bring next . ENDS
