Police arrest suspects and recover goods

Botswana Police Service has arrested seven Batswana men and two Zimbabwean men in connection with possession of suspected stolen property and smuggling of goods into the country.
A press release from Botswana Police Service says in one of the incidents that occurred on April 16, Mochudi Police arrested six suspects who were found in possession of thirteen laptops of different brands, 14 Central Processing Units (CPU) and other computer accessories.
Investigations reveal that the properties belong to the Department of Information Technology (DIT).
The release further states that in another incident, the police arrested three suspects in the act of smuggling over 7 000 cartons of Chelsea cigarettes into the country on April 16. Police investigations continue. ENDS
