Tackle social ills for better Botswana - Mabote
15 Apr 2018
Humanitarian community builder and motivational speaker, Mr Osenotse Mabote says communities should join hands in tackling social ills for a better Botswana.
In an interview on the sidelines of Seepapitso Senior Secondary School’s motivational talk initiative recently, he said, as a way of dealing with social ills, he found it critical to provide learners with educational public lectures to impart life skills to students to become better citizens.
He shared that after meeting with school authorities, he learnt that students indulged in habit-forming substances, which influence awkward behaviour.
Mr Mabote said in most cases communities depended on government to play a role in molding children and pointed out that it was everyone’s responsibility to ensure children were well-grommed into a united and proud nation.
He therefore called on communities, parents and guardians to be part of every step in grooming responsible future leaders.
He thanked teachers for their tireless efforts in their endeavour to shape learners into responsible citizens. ENDS
