Dive in A must have book

11 Apr 2018

Author of the book Dive In says she wrote the book in an effort to demystify the Bible as the average person cannot read the book because they do not even know where to begin if they want to learn from the timeless principles outlined in the Holy Scripture.

Speaking in an interview, Ashley Thaba said most people recognise that the Bible was an esteemed book worthy of study, and that Christians believed it was the divinely inspired word of God.

She said each book of the Bible was briefly summarised in Dive In to give a general synopsis of the entire Bible in a quick overview.

“Additionally, I went verse by verse through the book of Philippians taking the reader on a practical journey to demonstrate how to get something out of the Bible,” she said.

Ashley said her desire was to explain to people how to read the Bible so tha they could enjoy the abundant life their creator wanted them to have.

She noted that countless pressing questions were answered in the book such as the secret to joy and contentment, and even identifying false prophets amongst many other questions.

Ashley went on to say that the questions and a myriad of other concerns were addressed in the book.

“The actual Bible study section would be ideal for Bible study groups or individuals seeking to dive deeper into God’s word and glean valuable guidance that will enhance their daily lives and strengthen their relationship with their heavenly father,” she said.

The book retails for P100 and is available at Exclusive Books in Riverwalk Mall and Winner’s Chapel bookstore in Block 6.

“If someone is not in Gaborone and interested in the book, they can contact me through my Facebook page; Mom to Mom: Parenting Consultations and I will make a plan to get them the book anywhere in Botswana,” said Ashley.

Ashley is an American married to a Motswana for 14 years and she came to Botswana in 2000.
