Join hands in fight against TB

Thamaga/Mogoditshane deputy district commissioner, Ms Sekgabo Makgosa, says it is the responsibility of Batswana to make the country TB free.
Speaking in Gaborone during the TB commemoration day, Ms Makgosa said district health management teams are registering cases of Tuberculosis everyday.
Ms Makgosa said Greater Gaborone District Health Management Team registered 891 patients in 2016 who were diagnosed with Tuberculosis.
She noted that people who were most affected were males.
Ms Makgosa also said most Tuberculosis patients did not take their medication well saying this increased the spread of Tuberculosis.
She indicated that Tuberculosis was one of the most common co-infectious that people living with HIV could develop.
The commemoration was held under the theme, Wanted: Leaders for a TB-free world. ENDS
