Church moulds

Vice President, Mr Mokgweetsi Masisi says the church plays an important role in the society because it moulds individuals behaviour and builds the nation.
Mr Masisi who is also Member of Parliament for Moshupa/Manyana constituency attended Rapture of Saints Church (ROSC) service in Kanye on Sunday at the invitation of the church.
The church invited him for a special prayer.
The Vice President said the constitution of Botswana allowed freedom of worship and further guaranteed government's position on the freedom of worship in the country stating that when churches worshiped freely and praising God in their different denominations, it glorified God and subsequently God would bless the land.
Further, Mr Masisi commended the church for a job well done in providing guidance and leading people in the right direction. He thanked ROSC for inviting him to their service.
Mr Masisi assured the church that he would take right decisions and also take advises from Batswana and the cabinet.
Earlier, one member of the church Mr Modirinyana Seralanyana said that the ROSC church started in Kanye in 2012 led by by Rev. John Tebogo and his wife as a family and has since grown to 3 000 worshipers to date.
Mr Seralanyana indicated that the church did not only preach the word of God, but also played its social responsibility role by assisting the needy, orphans and disadvantaged people in the society. Ends
