Mochudi East bye-election April 21

Members of the public are informed that President Lieutenant General Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama yesterday issued a Writ of Election in accordance with Section 34 of the Electoral Act (Cap.02.09) ordering the holding of a bye-election for the Member of Parliament for the Mochudi East Constituency.
A press release from the Independent Electoral Commission says President Khama directed the nomination of candidates for the bye-election in the aforesaid constituency be received on March 23, 2018 between 9am and 1pm to 5pm at Bakgatle JSS,Rasesa.
It says he further directed that any poll which may become necessary shall be taken on April 21, 2018.ENDS
