Maun Beamer Club pushes blood donation drive

Health education officer from Letsholathebe II Memorial Hospital Mr Kwabala Kebotlwaetse has commended Maun Beamer Club and its associates for helping in the blood donation initiative since the country was experiencing shortage of blood.This is a club by poeple who drive BMW brand.
Speaking at a blood donation event in Maun on Saturday, Mr Kebotlwaetse appreciated the club and its associates such as Mazda and Altezza clubs for assisting the Ngamiland District to honour the blood donation call made by the Minister of Health and Wellness.
In an interview, Maun Beamer Club public relations officer Mr Oteng Moshebe said the club saw it relevant to organise a blood donation exercise to help the district and in turn the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
Mr Moshebe noted that as youth and Beamer Club they partnered with Mazda and Altezza clubs to make the blood donation event a success.
He noted that it was the first Beamer Club blood donation event so far but other clubs were expected to host their events countrywide. Mr Moshebe said the club which currently had about 36 members and still growing had been engaged in community outreach projects before by donating to needy people and children at Bana ba Letsatsi and Shashe Ward community.
The club, he said also advocated for cleanliness and had held litter picking campaigns at the Big Tree in Maun and Makalamabedi. Beamer club, he said also focused on changing the image of BMW drivers to be seen as responsible people.He said Beamer Club will continue working with other social clubs to help the needy and help the country achieve its national pillars.
