An official from Kidz Academy International, Mr Shimane Moipone says contrary to thinking by some parents,  private schools are not for the elites only.

He said during an occasion to celebrate academic excellence for 2017 at Mongala Mall on Saturday that such perceptions were not true because even the working class could afford to send their children to private schools.

“The truth is that we provide quality education and our results can attest to that,” he said adding that since inception, excellence had always been synonymous with Kidz Academy International, founded in Kanye as pre-school in 1996.

He said as a centre of excellence, the school thrived on building pupils academically, intellectually and morally.

The sentiments were shared by school head, Mr Yousuf Karodia who buttressed the longtime spinoffs that both the students and country stood to derive from quality education.

He told BOPA in an interview that commitment to the centre’s vision  and mission by staff and implementation of strategies in place had been the school’s secret to excellence over the years.

“We have for instance targeted meetings where we discuss with pupils the school’s expectations in as far as their performance and work out ways to help them achieve those targets,” he said.

Furthermore, Mr Karodia relayed the school management also accorded parents and teachers the same platform throughout the year; something he stated had worked wonders and ensured the school remained consistent and relevant in its pursuit for academic excellence.

“We also try as much as possible to eliminate confusion that comes about due to different set of values at home and in school,” he said.

He thus said it was the mission and vision of the school to provide high quality education with inculcation of good morals and values to produce well shaped and educated individuals who could go on into the future and serve the needs of the society with distinction. ENDS
