Mangole Ngaka in Haiti

Member for Parliament for Mochudi West, Mr Gilbert Mangole and Member of Parliament for Takatokwane, Mr Ngaka Ngaka to attend the 48th session of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Parliamentary Assembly and the 34th session of the African, Caribbean and Pacific-Europe Union Joint Parliamentary Assembly (ACP-EU JPA) scheduled for December 13-19 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.
A press release from the National Assembly states that the assembly is expected to debate and vote considering amendments and adoption of challenges in the field of the security development nexus in ACP and EU policies.
The blue economy, opportunities and challenges for ACP states and improving the access to basic health system, notably to medicines in the fight against infectious disease, the release states are among debatable issues.
The release further states that exchange views on sustainable tourism, the political situation in ACP and EU member states and economic partnership agreement: state of play negotiations and implementation would also be discussed.
Two urgent topics will be debated and wrapped up by resolutions: enhancing resilience to climate change and natural disasters in ACP states and the situation in Mauritania, says the release. ENDS
