It is always a positive endeavour for business owners to give back to the communities they operate within as it strengthens relationship with members.
Pre-Con Construction managing director, Mr Huashi Li said for that reason his company embarked on the construction of a Buddhism temple in Gaborone near airport junction.
He said the temple, which is expected to be completed in December 2018, was a gift for Batswana for the long-lasting friendship and appreciation for the successful working relations with the government of Botswana.
He explained that the temple was meant for educational, spiritual and recreational purposes.
Mr Li said the temple would be opened to the public as a temporary shelter in times of natural disasters where medical experts would also help the public from.
He said while government gave his family a means to live a good life, he would also like to give back and do something positive for the public through recreation and religion.
“The temple, which covers a total of 15 000 square metres, will display the best of Eastern architecture along with the essence of Buddhism designs and would provide for a grand establishment for Buddhism learning and worshiping, a garden to relax in and a great environment for social engagements for the people of Botswana.
