Aquafresh Company has rewarded Manyana Primary School for being the best school in keeping the environment clean.
Receiving the reward, which comprised soccer and netball kit and certificates, on behalf of the school teams, Moshupa-based chief education officer, Mr Tumelo Rakgabo appreciated the initiative by the toothpaste company, saying it would go a long way in addressing the school challenges and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.

He acknowledged that Aquafresh promoted cleanliness among the pupils, which he said would in turn contribute to the improvement of academic results.
He said the reward would fully boost the school’s morale in producing well-rounded pupilss.

Mr Rakgabo requested the company to also extend a helping hand to projects aimed at developing education in the village.
Aquafresh representative, Mr Makole Bokamoso said the company was eager to build a good relationship with the community and the school and support their development projects. Mr Bokamoso said the sport kit would go a long way in meeting the schools challenges, adding that the donation was just the beginning as more support would come.

He said the school was chosen as the best in collecting used Aquafresh containers to keep the environment clean, thus it emerged victorious in cleaning the environment. The competition was open to all primary schools in Botswana in an effort to contribute meaningfully to the development of Botswana as well as cleaning the country.
Councillor for Manyana, Mr Peter Sethibe also applauded Aquafresh for having found it fit to support school initiatives. He said the school had been playing for a long time without sports kit.

Mr Sethibe said the kit would boost the children’s confidence and inspire them to become leaders in their communities, by continuing to keep the environment clean.
Earlier, Manyana school head, Ms Annah Babusi said they became friends with Aquafresh recently, after cleaning the environment by successfully collecting Aquafresh tooth paste containers. ENDS
