SADC meets over Zimbabwe stand-off

The SADC Organ Troika Plus council chairperson ministerial meeting on November 16 recommended the convening of an urgent extra ordinary SADC Summit aimed at resolving the political stand-off in Zimbabwe.
Chairperson of the Southern African Development Community, President Jacob Zuma of South Africa on November 16 called for the meeting to discuss the unfolding political and security situation in Zimbabwe.
The meeting was held at the SADC secretariat in Gaborone.
In attendance were ministers responsible for foreign or external affairs from the SADC Organ Troika Member States, namely; Angola, Tanzania and Zambia, plus the SADC Council chairperson, who is the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation for South Africa, Ms Maite Nkoana-Mashabane. ENDS
