Wildlife and National Parks as well as Forestry and Range Resources departments, under the Ministry of Environment Natural Resources and Tourism have donated a standpipe, toiletry and clothes to Ms Gobotsamang Raditshephe in Kgomodiatshaba.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony coupled with community service day to clean the yard recently, organising secretary, Ms Gaone Nkganetsang said their objective did not only focus on staff welfare but caring for others in the society.
Ms Nkganetsang said they identified Ms Raditshephe, who was living with disability through the help of the social work office in consultation with community leaders.
During assessment, he said they realised that the yard had no standpipe; hence they decided to connect water.
She added that contributions had made it possible for the two departments to donate bulk toiletries and clothes.
She commended residents, especially the neighbours, who contributed a bed and bedding, something they did not anticipate.
She said Ms Raditshepe lived in a house, which was built by government but had not been staying in it due to her condition.
They also planted four trees.
The beneficiary, Ms Raditshephe thanked officers from the two department.
She also thanked God, who had made it possible for the provision, by connecting water and cleaning the yard thereby restoring her dignity.
Area councillor, Ms Reginah Rakgathi said Kgomodiatshaba residents were blessed to receive different donations throughout the year.
She also thanked officers from the two departments, saying the donations would go a long way in improving the life of the family. BOPA
