The Member of Parliament for Tonota constituency, Mr Thapelo Olopeng has commended employees of Tonota Sub-council for their contribution in the development of the constituency.

Speaking during the inaugural excellence awards, Mr Olopeng said employees were qualified to be awarded because of their service delivery, and putting the customer first as well as taking into consideration the council’s methods of developing the constituency.

He further commended employees for delivering services to the public despite working in challenging times such as lack of funds.

He encouraged staff to continue their excellent work, advising them to work without a job description, saying working within a job description limited one’s chances and capabilities to strive higher.

Earlier in his welcome remarks, Tonota Sub-council chairperson, Mr Anderson Moalosi said the sub council had achieved a lot as far as their mandate was concerned.

He said they took pride in giving customers the best services despite the challenges they encountered.

For his part, the vice sub council chairperson, Mr Lampy Ngake applauded the winners and encouraged them to continue excelling in their work. He said all employees were key players, and that they all contributed to the success of the sub council. BOPA
